Japanese garment enterprises launched eco-friendly clothing (Figure)

A survey recently released by Japan's Nagoya Garment Association shows that 75% of local garment enterprises have launched eco-friendly clothing, covering the use of raw materials and eco-friendly dyes, recycling of wastes and so on. The survey results show that the current problems in eco-products production mainly include high costs and high prices and unclear definitions of eco-friendly garments. The surveyed enterprises hope that the clothing associations can organize seminars and other activities to clarify the definition of eco-garments and make relevant standard. The survey found that more than 70% of the enterprises energy saving office, waste reduction as a specific content of eco-friendly clothing production. In addition, most garment enterprises are optimistic about the future market trend of ecological apparel.
