Jewelry processing terminology

A piece of jewellery needs to be processed from the original stone to the finished product. There will be many technical terms in the process of processing. The general consumers may not understand it. Let's explain the terminology of jewelry processing.

Solder

English name: Soldering an alloy made of tin 2 and lead 1. It is a commonly used welding material for ordinary metals. It is mainly used in the processing of diamonds in gemology. It is used to embed or press diamonds into the grinding tools for honing and processing.

Claw foot

Claw inlay

Crown inlay

Sealed mosaic
