On January 25, at the new Dong An Plaza in Wangfujing, Beijing’s first retail store of world-famous fashion retailer C&A was officially opened, marking the official arrival of C&A in the Beijing market. In 2007, C&A has opened five stores in Shanghai. At the same time, C&A also announced that it will accelerate development and plan to enter major capital cities.

The famous fashion retail brand, C&;A, was founded in 1841 and is famous for fashion novelties and fast-paced fashion boutiques. By the end of 2007, C&A will have a strong market position in 20 countries with more than 1,400 stores in Europe, Latin America and China. In the past three years, C&;A has opened 450 new stores in Europe and has a daily passenger flow of more than 2 million. The company also plans to open 300-350 new stores in the next 2-3 years.

For the first store location in Beijing, New Oriental Plaza, C&A (China) Senior Vice President Li Chengjie stated that C&A chose Xin Dong An Plaza to take into account Xin Dong An’s position and target consumer group. Settling in the new Dong’an Plaza will better convey C&A’s unique “fashionable choice” concept to young people who are pursuing fashion. At the Opening Ceremony of the New Dong An Branch Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, C&A announced its 2008 development plan. In particular, it hopes to open two stores in Beijing before the 2008 Olympic Games and further expand its business to other major capital cities and prefecture-level cities.

On the opening day, C&A released five unique and unique fashion brands, CLOCKHOUSE, Yessica, Angelo Litrico, Baby Club and Palomino, which cover a wide range of fashion trends and were specially created for different life concepts. In the future, C&A will continue to inherit the tradition of supporting public welfare in China, and hope that more social forces will join the public welfare undertaking. In September last year, C&A and international model Du Fu co-published the Fashion Love Charity T-shirt and donated a total of RMB 250,000 for the reconstruction of Hope Primary School in the disaster-stricken areas in Chongqing.
